Tay points to the fence damaged by the thieves to gain entry.
KAPIT: Thieves stole diesel fuel from a Hitachi excavator and JCB Back Load Holder parked at Tay Thian Chiong Realty Bhd Cement Plant in Bletih Industrial Estate here yesterday.
According to proprietor Tay Hock Joo, the thieves damaged the wire fencing to gain entry to the premises. Tay believed three persons were involved in stealing the diesel fuel based on the footprints leading from the fence to the machineries.
He estimated his loss at RM200, adding that the thieves used a rubber hose to siphon the diesel fuel.
Tay also recalled another break-in case which occurred on Feb 13 at the same premises. During the incident, he was made RM5,000 poorer when thieves carted away a generator set, air pump, fuel pump and welding set.
Previously he kept many dogs at the cement plant but they all died mysteriously, believed to be poisoned by the thieves.
Tay subsequently lodged a police report on the latest incident.
