MIRI: Miri Crime Investigation Department (CID) yesterday arrested a man for allegedly raping an underage girl during their outing on Saturday night.
The 19-year-old suspect was nabbed in front of a workshop in Pujut 6.
It is learnt that the victim had just known the suspect through a friend before going out with him.
He took the girl to the beach on Saturday night and she only returned home on Sunday.
The suspect was nabbed after the victim’s family lodged a police report on Monday night.
Police seized the suspect’s motorcycle and are investigating the case under Section 376 for rape.
