SARIKEI: KL Plus team lifted the challenge trophy sponsored by Teng Ung Woo, a political secretary to the Chief Minister, in the SUPP Sarikei Youth Cup 2017 from Mar 24-26.
They beat Line Seven in the final played at the SK Udin, Bayong football field last Sunday.
Balai City beat Iban Tracker for third place.
The football tournament, which was organized for the first time by SUPP Sarikei branch youth, attracted ten teams.
The other teams were Fly Emirates, Perdana Journey, Sebangkoi United, Bus City, Paoh Team and Tampak Pegari.
Teng, who kicked off the competition and presented the prizes, said that the tournament aimed to encourage youths to indulge in sports as a healthy lifestyle and provide an avenue for them to develop their talent.
