Guan Eng dismisses PAS allegation over foreign intervention

GEORGE TOWN: DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng yesterday refuted an allegation by PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang that DAP had sought foreign intervention in Malaysian affairs.

Abdul Hadi had made a baseless allegation which could be regarded as slander against DAP because he had not disclosed any evidence, he said to reporters here.

He said he hoped that Abdul Hadi could furnish proof and name the leader who had sought such foreign intervention.

Lim, who is the Penang chief minister, said the DAP had never associated itself with such a thing. Abdul Hadi had allegedly made the claim during a talk in Marang, Terengganu. — Bernama
