Two homemade shotguns seized

The two shotguns and other items seized from the suspect.

MARUDI: A police party led by ASP Mike Ibrahim found a homemade gun in a bedroom of a longhouse unit (Rumah Tawan Meliew)  in Bakong recently.

Further check of the unit found another homemade gun and two ‘live’ cartridges in the kitchen. The owner of the house was present during the raid. The seizure was made under Section 8 of the Arms Act, 1960.

The shotguns and the owner were brought to the police station here for further investigation. Baram police chief, DSP Gabriel Risut, confirmed the arrest and seizure.
