KUALA LUMPUR: Women Administrative and Diplomatic Service (PTD) officers are advised to be bold in voicing out their opinions in helping the government to ensure success of the National Transformation 2050 (TN50) programme.

Malaysian PTD Association Women PTD Officer’s Affairs Committee chairman Datuk Rosmee Hamzah said this was because women PTD officers were mostly involved as policy makers.

“Not just to understand the TN50, but also to have the urge to be involved by offering opinions or as policy makers. It is important for women PTD officers to know their ability and the importance of their participations in making the TN50 a reality.”

She said this to reporters after attending the ‘Transformation of Women PTD Officers: Women’s Revival in TN50’ programme, which was also attended by Higher Education Ministry secretary-general Tan Sri Noorul Ainur Mohd Nur.

Meanwhile, Noorul Ainur said women PTD officers should create a network, not only locally, but also abroad.

“Don’t just focus on your ministry because it is also important to create a network with other ministries so that the policy-making process will be easier, faster and more effective,” she said.

She said women PTD officers should also change their mindset according to current development, give suitable ideas to the government and to ensure that those ideas could be adopted to ensure success of government policies and programmes.

At the event, 200 women PTD officers from Grade 41 to 52 were enlightened by Noorul Ainur’s experience as PTD officer and by the success story of Datin Farah Muhammad Philip, who is Ariani marketing director. — Bernama
