KUCHING: Chief Minister Datuk Amar Abang Johari Tun Openg says he will prove his critics wrong by delivering all the projects that he proposed during his first 100 days in office.
He especially lashed out at the state DAP for calling him ‘hot air’.
“DAP called me a hot air. Never mind. Just wait for the next three years. You will see if it’s a hot air or not.
“Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng said he wanted to build the LRT (Light Rapid Transit) in Penang, promising the people, but until today there is still nothing.
“This is because he has no money. He may think we are using the federal money, but it’s not. We have our way of doing do it,” he said at the closing of the Parliamentarian Seminar here yesterday.
Abang Johari said the people would not need to worry because the state Barisan Nasional (BN) would deliver what it had promised.
However, the state must strategise and that was why he had come up with the financial model, he added.
“I announced a lot of things after my 100 days because I have calculated it. Within the next four years, all of them will be implemented.
“When I announce the LRT, I know I can achieve it. At least connecting Kuching, Serian and Samarahan, I can do it.
“I will prove it. Within the first three years, the project must start. I don’t simply announce. I announce after I have calculated it,” he said.
Present at the seminar were Deputy Chief Minister Tan Sri Datuk Amar Dr James Masing, Second Minister of Finance Dato Sri Wong Soon Koh, State Legislative Assembly Speaker Datuk Amar Mohamad Asfia Awang Nasar and State Secretary Tan Sri Datuk Amar Mohamad Morshidi Abdul Ghani.
