Barabai helps a Meratus Mountain girl who suffers tumor

BARABAI, South Kalimantan: Barabai residents seek to raise funds to help treat a Meratus Mountain girl who has been suffering from a tumor in her head for the last decade.

Dahlia (22), a resident of Datar Ajab village, Hantakan Subd-istrict, Central Hulu Sungai (HST), suffered a tumor in the forehead. In several years it continue to outgrow resulted Dahlia feel the pain severely until often rolling.

A resident of Barabai, Riska, who is concerned about Dahlia’s condition took the initiative to bring this poor girl to her residence at the PU (public works) Complex, just behind Public Order Agency (Satpol PP) office in Barabai, Monday (15/5).

She said she and Dahlia has no kinship. Dahlia previously stayed for 15 days at the shaman’s house, Mama Yanto, in Pantai Batung, Batu Benawa Sub-district.

But the treatment has not been able to cure the illness. According to the shaman, Dahlia should get medical treatment.

Dahlia refused to be taken back to her village in Datar Ajab, one of the most remote villages in the remote part of the Meratus Mountains.

According to Dahlia, since her illness in the last ten years, she has never been treated for lack of cost. After meeting Riska, Dahlia asked to come to her residence and her family wellcame her.

Thousands of netizens expressed concerns, prayers, medical advice and wanted to provide financial aid, from the general public, organizational activists, community leaders, local officials to members of the legislative council who also want to participate in providing assistance for the treatment of Dahlia.
