JJPTR scheme: Three men arrested in Petaling Jaya

KUALA LUMPUR: Police detained three local men who are suspected to be involved in the controversial investment scheme, JJ Poor to Rich (JJPTR) in Petaling Jaya, Selangor yesterday.

Bukit Aman Commercial Crime Investigation Department director Datuk Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani said the men, between ages 28 and 29, were arrested around 4.30am.

He said, one of the suspects was believed to be the mastermind of the syndicate, while the other two were  the right hand man and personal assistant.

“Also seized were a Honda Accord car, five mobile phones, various documents related to the JJPTR scheme, one cheque book, 11 debit and credit cards from an array of banks as well as RM20,936 in cash,” he said in a statement yesterday.

According to Acryl Sani, the suspects would be brought to the Klang Magistrate Court  and application for the remand of the suspects will be made. — Bernama
