KUCHING: The Serian Football Association are looking to create more history for Sarawak as they go into the second leg of the final of the 2016-2017 Liga Bola Sepak Rakyat (LBR) or the Community League against Gua Musang at Stadium Negeri, Petra Jaya this Sunday.

They are all set to follow the footsteps of the Kuching Division Football Association who won the LBR last year after defeating Padang Besar in the final.

Serian FA won the first leg 1-0, but team manager Philip Jabu said his team would not be taking their opponents lightly and the one-goal advantage is no excuse for them to be complacent.

Instead, Philip wants his players to focus fully on Sunday’s match in bid to become the second team from Sarawak to win the LBR.

“Although we have a one-goal advantage, we still train as usual starting Tuesday and the players were not allowed to take leave. What’s for sure is that we will fully capitalise on the advantage of playing at our home ground this Sunday,” he said.

Philip is also hoping that Sarawak fans and supporters would come in full force to support the team.

“Come in full force and wear blue shirts to show your support to Serian FA,” he urged.

The match will kick off at 9pm.
