KUCHING: Three persons were charged in the Sessions Court here yesterday for having 38 grams of methamphetamine in their possession.
Awang Abdul Sidiq Awang Mohammed Afandi, 30; Abdul Habibullah Bujang, 23; and Darina Simon, 26; all pleaded not guilty to the charge framed against them under Section 39A (2) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
The Section provides for life imprisonment or not less than five years in prison, and not less than 10 strokes of the rotan.
Judge Afidah Abdul Rahman adjourned the case to June 19 for further mention pending the chemist report.
The offence was allegedly committed on May 9 around 12.30am at a house in Kampung Gersik here.
