BANJARMASIN, South Kalimantan: South Kalimantan Provincial Narcotics Agency (BNNP) destroyed billions rupiah worth of sabu-sabu with a blender, then the water was dumped into the toilet, AntaranewsKalsel reported.
“2.181.05 gram syabu-syabu from a joint disclosure by BNNP and Directorate of Drugs Investigation of South Kalimantan Police on April 28 is now destroyed after the determination of the public prosecutor (JPU),” said Head of BNNP South Kalimantan Senior Commissioner Marsauli Siregar here on Tuesday.
He said the two kilogram sabu-sabu was confiscated from suspects, Umboro Teguh and Iwan Setiawan. They were both arrested at the Port of Trisakti Banjarmasin after taking the drug from Surabaya.
Officers also found two packets of sabu-sabu weighing 148.25 grams at Iwan Setiawan’s house in Kelayan, Murung Raya, South Banjarmasin.
BNNP Kalsel also destroyed 10.05 grams of sabu-sabu from suspect Muhammad Riduan alias Cogi, residents of South Kuin, West Banjarmasin, who was arrested on Monday (15/5).
“This immediate extermination is a mandate of the law to prevent undesirable things such as misuse of evidence by officers and others,” said Marsauli Siregar.
The destruction of evidence, sabu-sabu worth approximately Rp5 billion was done on Tuesday afternoon in the auditorium of BNNP Office.
