KUCHING: A motorcyclist from Kampung Begu, Padawan, was killed in an accident yesterday morning after his machine crashed into a bush near Kampung Teng Bukap.
Padawan district police chief Supt Aidil Bolhassan said the deceased, 20-year-old Melcanster Lita, was riding alone to Kampung Teng Bukap from Kampung Begu when his motorcycle went out of control around 9.30am.
Paramedics found Melcanster motionless in the bush and later pronounced him dead at the scene.
Aidil added that police are checking to determine if the deceased had been riding his motorcycle under the influence of alcohol.
