KOTA KINABALU: The State leadership has put Sabah on the right track by transforming the physical and economic landscape of the state, said Mubarak (Former Elected Representative of Malaysia, Sabah Branch).

Its president, Datuk Yusof Manan, said Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Musa Haji Aman had proven his ability to helm the government, bringing progress and economic stability to state.

“Sabah has seen positive changes and moving in the right direction under Musa’s leadership,” he said during a courtesy call to Musa with Mubarak members at Sri Gaya recently.

He said Mubarak, Sabah branch pledged their full support for Musa to continue leading the state because he had not only brought development but also able to maintain peace harmony among the diverse communities in the state.

“He is a leader for all Sabahans. We know he works hard, going down to the ground, meeting people throughout Sabah. He is constantly on the move, very energetic, attending endless programmes in different parts of the state,” he said.

Yusuf said it takes stamina, commitment and dedication to do what Musa does on a daily basis and not many could do it.

“Mubarak will be on the frontline to defend the state leadership and will assist him in developing the state,” he said.

Meanwhile, Musa said he valued the contributions made by Mubarak and believed its members could still bring positive changes to the state.

“I, alone cannot bring progress to our beloved state. I need the help of my cabinet ministers, elected representatives, the civil service, even NGOs, including Mubarak,” he said.

He said there must be commitment and cooperation among those who sincerely wanted to develop Sabah and improve the welfare of the people.

“If you want to work with people who serve the people, do it with sincerity and wholeheartedly. Go down to ground and see for yourself what is happening. Bring your relevant ministers and officers so they too can see and hear for themselves what are the issues affecting the rakyat,” he said.

He hoped that the people could see that the Barisan Nasional government had their interest at heart and was doing its level best to serve them.
