ACP Lim Meng Seah

MIRI: Newly-appointed district police chief ACP Lim Meng Seah has reminded those going back to their respective longhouses this Gawai Dayak to inform the authorities of their absence from home.

In his first public message since taking over as OCPD, Lim said it is vital for the public to inform the nearest police station of their period of absence so that patrols could be scheduled.

“This would enable police patrolmen to visit their house during their absence to minimise break-ins,” he said yesterday.

Lim took over as district police chief on May 26 following the retirement of ACP Khoo Leng Huat.
