Police seizes ready to sell syabu-syabu

BANJARMASIN, South Kalimantan:  Members of Drug Detectives Unit (Satresnarkoba) of Banjarmasin City Police seized six packets of ready to sell syabu-syabu from a drug courier in the local area, AntaranewsKalsel reported.

“The suspect named Mas`ud (47) was arrested on Saturday (3/6) afternoon at around 4.30 pm on Jalan Pekapuran B Laut, Central Banjarmasin,” said Banjarmasin police chief Sr. Comr. (Kombes) Anjar Wicaksana here, Tuesday.

When arrested, the perpetrator brought six packages of syabu-syabu weighing 3.46 grams. He did not move when the officers ambushed him while storing the illicit goods in his pants pocket.

“The Gang Bunga resident, Pekapuran Raya, was successfully provoked by officers to make transactions not far from his home,” he said.

Disclosure of the case stemmed from the information obtained by Satresnarkoba members that there was unscrupulous citizen who often make sabu-sabu transactions around Pekapuran Raya.

“He is believed to be a courier controlled by a larger bookie on it,” said police chief.

Until now, police are still develop the case in order to uncover a network of drug business involving the suspect.

“Although the suspect did not want to open his mouth to explain who the bookie is, it did not matter. We will catch up with other distributors in the hope of catching the drug kingpin,” said the middle officer of Akpol alumni 1993 class.
