KUCHING: Chief Minister Datuk Amar Abang Johari Tun Openg attended a breaking of fast session with personnel from various uniformed bodies at the State Legislative Assembly (DUN) Complex here on Tuesday.

The event was aimed at fostering closer ties with the uniform bodies comprising the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM), Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), People’s Volunteer Corps (Rela), Malaysian Armed Forces as well as state and federal enforcement agencies from various sectors.

Abang Johari also participated in the Maghrib, Isyak and Tarawih prayers led by acting State Imam Besar Mustapha Kamal Ahmad Fauzi following the breaking of fast.

Also present during the event were Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas, Local Government and Housing Minister Datuk Dr Sim Kui Hian, Assistant Minister of

Coastal Road Datuk Julaihi Narawi, DUN Speaker Datuk Amar Mohamad Asfia Awang Nassar, State Federal Secretary Datuk Mohd Zuki Ali, and State Police Commissioner Datuk Mazlan Mansor.
