KUCHING: A total of 12 police reports have been lodged against Wan Mohd Azri Wan Deris, the account holder of the ‘Papagomo’ Facebook page, over a post which allegedly insulted Sarawak.
State CID chief SAC Datuk Dev Kumar, when contacted, said as of 4pm yesterday, the state police had received 12 reports throughout the state pertaining to the same issue.
He said the police reports were lodged at Kota Samarahan (2), Santubong (2), Lundu (1), Sibu (1), Batu Kawa (1), Belaga (1), Bintagor (1) and Bintulu (3).
It is believed more reports will to be lodged against Wan Mohd Azri.
Wan Mohd Azri made the post defending Tourism and Culture Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Nazri Abdul Aziz following his recent spat with state Tourism, Arts, Culture, Youth and Sports Minister Datuk Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah, which had drew condemnation from Sarawakians.
