KUCHING: Samarahan Division Football Association (PBBS) president Haidel Heli will be giving the mandate to a Samarahan-born coach to lead the team in their challenge for the Sarawak Cup this year.
He said the division has many coaches who are capable of guiding the Samarahan team in their chase for glory in the championship concerned.
Haidel said the association has identified several names for the job and would announce their decision soon.
“PBBS will be placing full trust on the coaches in Samarahan to lead our team in the Sarawak Cup campaign,” he said.
In preparing for the challenge, Haidel said the organising of the Samarahan League early next month would serve as the platform to select the best players for the Sarawak Cup squad.
The Sarawak Cup, which will be organised by the Football Association of Sarawak, will be held in October with Mukah proposed as the host.
