PENAMPANG: The police have arrested four employees and one former worker who are suspected to have broken into a restaurant at Plaza 333 and stolen about RM72,000 in cash and three television sets.

Sabah Police Commissioner Datuk Ramli Din said the two female and three male suspects, aged between 17 and 23, were arrested at the restaurant at about 1pm.

“Four of them were employees of the restaurant while one was a former worker who had resigned last Sunday,” he told reporters here.

He said the restaurant manager had reported the loss of the television sets and cash kept in three safes when he opened for business at 7.30am yesterday. — Bernama
