KUCHING: The St Joseph’s Family of Schools will extend its musical play ‘The White Rajah of Sarawak’ for another night, following the overwhelming response received from the public.

According to the organiser, tickets for the initial Aug 4 and 5 showtimes – to take place at the Archdiocesan Curia and Cathedral Parish Centre (ACCPC) Grand Hall in St Joseph’s Cathedral here – have sold out.

Curtain-up is scheduled at 7.30pm.

“Due to overwhelming response and high demands, there will be an additional one on Aug 3.

“Those wanting to see the play are advised to purchase their tickets early to avoid disappointment. The St Joseph’s Family of Schools wishes to thank the public for their support to the musical,” said a spokesperson.

‘The White Rajah of Sarawak’ is a theoretical narrative of how an English adventurer – upon leaving the shores of his native country – came to Sarawak, fell in love with this exotic land and its beautiful people and ultimately, became its ruler. Thereon, he determined the course of Sarawak’s history for the next 100 years.
