GEORGE TOWN: DAP will reveal its option on the party’s Central Executive Committee (CEC) re-election issue after meeting with the Registrar of Societies (RoS).

Its secretary-general Lim Guan Eng said the option taken would be contingent on the outcome of the  meeting with RoS.

“We are keeping our options open. That is why it is up to them (RoS), but they refuse to meet us so far.

“We do not want to reveal the option until we meet RoS,” he told a press conference, here, today.

The RoS, in a statement on July 7, said it had no intention of de-registering DAP but ordered the party to hold fresh elections for the CEC.

Following complaints from DAP members, RoS had deemed that the re-election in 2013 was not carried out based on the list of delegates authorised to attend and vote in earlier polls held on Dec 15, 2012. – Bernama
