The ROS wants Pakatan Harapan to change their logo by adding on the words ‘Pakatan’, instead of just ‘Harapan’.

PUTRAJAYA: The Registrar of Societies (ROS) yesterday ordered Pakatan Harapan to change the logo of the coalition party before it could be approved.

Pakatan Harapan chairman Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad said ROS wanted them to place the words ‘Pakatan Harapan’ together with the logo instead of just  ‘Harapan’ at the moment.

“We take note of this and we will make a new logo or symbol before submitting it again to ROS within two days,” he told reporters after meeting up with ROS officers at its headquarters here yesterday, in applying  for registration of the opposition coalition.

Besides Dr Mahathir, who is Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (PPBM) chairman, also in the visiting team were PKR president Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah) president Mohamad Sabu and DAP acting chairman Tan Kok Wai.

The logo was introduced during the announcement on the formation of the opposition coalition on July 14. — Bernama
