MIRI: A total of 10 players have been selected to represent Miri for the state-level Minister of Tourism, Arts, Culture and Sports Futsal Tournament.
Miri Football Association president Mohamad Saif Jubaidi said the players were picked after the Miri division match recently.
“They are currently undergoing a centralised intensive training conducted by Ernie Lukong, who is also the organising chairperson for Miri division championship,” he told The Borneo Post.
Saif said previous tournaments have also helped in enabling them to select male and female players with the most potential to represent Miri.
“With the intensive training that they are having now at Miri Stadium, I am sure they will give a good fight for the other opposing teams in the coming tournament,” he added. The state-level tournament will take place in Betong from Aug 25-26.
