BINTULU: Nine teams will compete in the BDA-LSC Veteran Football Invitation Tournament which will kick off at the BDA field in Bintulu Civic Centre on Aug 12.
They are BDA veteran, Warisan Otai, PPBB, Ari Baza FC, BSK CVU FT, Old Star, BPHB Otai, IPD FC and PLBSCB.
The final is scheduled for August 27 at 4.30pm.
Bintulu Development Authority (BDA) is collaborating with sponsor Lea Sports Centre Sdn Bhd in this tournament in conjunction with BDA’s 39th anniversary.
The matches will be played on Saturdays and Sundays (day time) and Wednesdays (night).
Cash prizes of RM1,000, RM500 and RM300 will be among the prizes to be given out to the top three teams. The top scorer and man-of-the-match will each pocket a voucher worth RM200
A key objective of the event is to foster ties among staff from the government, non-governmental and private sectors.
