Three escape with minor injuries after crashing 4WD into trailer

MIRI: Three men sustained bodily injuries after their car was involved in a head-on collision with a trailer near Miri-Bintulu Road here earlier today.

Following a call received at 4.15am, three personnel from the Miri Civil Defence Force (APM) were dispatched to the scene and arrived two minutes later.

“Upon arrival, APM personnel found three male adults suffering from minor injuries. They then gave first aid to all three victims, and later sent them to the Miri Hospital,” said APM Miri Division officer Captain (PA) Mohd Hazle Shah Abdul Hamid.

The first victim, a 29-year-old man, had head and facial injuries, while the second victim, 30, suffered injuries to his abdomen.

The third victim, a 29-year-old man, had an open wound on his right leg.

“The place where the accident took place was dark, and according to one of the victims, he did not realise there was a trailer in front of him while driving until it was too late,” Mohd Hazle added.
