DNeX, Malaysia Islamic chamber of commerce to push for GoHalal

KUALA LUMPUR: Investment holding company Dagang NeXchange Bhd (DNeX) has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Malaysian Islamic Chamber of Commerce to assist companies under the chamber promote halal products and services via its trading platform, GoHalal.

DNeX said through GoHalal, a halal industry eMarketplace, the companies or merchants will have access to the US$2.5 trillion Muslim lifestyle marketplace globally and currently the chamber has over 2,000 merchants under its wing.

“We are taking the halal industry online where companies or individuals can get suppliers or buyers for their products and services, as well as obtain and exchange information on the industry within clicks,” DNeX executive deputy chairman Datuk Samsul Husin said in a statement yesterday.

He said the company was excited to work together with the Malaysian Islamic Chamber of Commerce and was looking forward to collaborate with merchants that the chamber represented to offer an e-marketplace where consumers could have access to halal products and services globally.

“We view this as a strategic partnership where a public-listed company collaborates with small and medium enterprises to grow their business to the global market through e-commerce,” he added. — Bernama
