SIBU: Star Manok emerged as champion in the open category of Nangka Futsal Tournament 2017 while JKKK Jeriah lifted the JKKK Nangka Invitation title last Sunday at Kpg Nangka futsal field.
In the open category which attracted 24 teams, Kobe FC came second while Teku A was third with Teku B fourth.
SSBSPN was runner-up followed by JKKK Sentosa and JKKK Nangka in the five-team invitation event which was open to those aged 45 and above.
The tournament, organised by Nangka Sport, Culture and Integration Secretariat, began on Aug 25.
Assistant Minister of Education and Technological Research Dr Annuar Rapaee officiated at the opening.
Secretariat chairman Jimmy De Rozario said the tournament aimed at fostering ties and encouraging sports participation among young people.
