BINTULU: Two Indonesian men were arrested for drug-related offences at an oil palm plantation in Samalaju here around 2pm yesterday.

The duo was nabbed during a police raid on an unnumbered house, which led to the discovery of 36 straw tubes containing substance believed to be Syabu.

The drugs weighed approximately 8.5 grammes and are believed to be worth around RM1,800.

District police chief ACP Zailanni Amit said the foreigners have since confessed to being involved in drug trafficking activities since 2013.

“They obtained the supplies from a friend known as Rais who works at another oil palm estate in Niah, Miri,” he said, adding the case is being investigated under Section 39A(1) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
