KUCHING: Frenz chalked up the biggest win of  Week 5 of the Megalanes Sarawak 189 & Below Tay Motors Trios League at Megalanes Sarawak, E-Mart Batu Kawa last Sunday.

Now sitting in third place on 176.34 Peterson points, the team comprising family members Nor Azizah and her children Aida Natasha and Abang Afiq Syazani outgunned defending champions Tay Motors 18-2.

Dynamic-X, comprising Muhd Mashruhin Mashan, Mohd Zaimi Bohari and Zainuddin Mat Libi also recorded a similar score of 18-2 against Triple-X to be in fifth spot with 156.15 Peterson points.

However, Dynamic-X are now second in the Team High Series (Handicap) award with 2,406 pins, just 30 pins after the leader Boleh La.

Boleh La lead the 10-team field with 181.49 Peterson points, followed by Lucky in second spot with 179.13 points.

Tay Motors are in fourth place while 1 Team Blacklist, PBA – 1, Triple X, Tidal Bore and Bulan Mengambang made up the minor positions.

The leader for the Individual High Game (Handicap) is Alfariq Mohd Gadaffi with 270 pins recorded in Week 1 and in second spot is Jackie Ting of Tay Motors with 258 pins.

Edward Juit of Lucky, who scored 875 pins in Week 3, leads the Individual High Series (Handicap), followed by Alfariq Mohd Gadaffi with 854 pins and Ang Kean Joo of Tay Motors with a similar score of 854 pins recorded in Week 3.

Meanwhile, Week 9 of the Megalanes Adventure World (MAW) 159 & Below Trios League last Sunday saw Team RVS surging to the top of the table with a huge lead of 29.42 Peterson points over second-placed Petra Bowlers after recording a 15-5 victory against the latter.

Air Strike 2 are currently occupying the third spot with merely 2.64 Peterson points behind Petra Bowlers.

In fourth to ninth place are White Shark who leads the Team High Game (Handicap) and team High Series (Handicap) with 582 pins and 2,077 pins respectively, PBA Mix, Gutter Gangs, Mancai Bowlers, Silent Killer and Baby Boss.

White Shark’s Bruce Bilton also leads the Individual High Game (Handicap) with 298 pins and Individual High Series (Handicap) with 859 pins.

Each team will now play their position round matches this Sunday (Sept 24) while the Mini-Masters for this league will be held on Oct 1.
