TAWAU: Tawau police have arrested two men, aged 21 and 22, in connection with snatch theft cases by using a van at Jalan Pesisiran and Jalan Kongsi 8, Batu 4 here respectively.
The snatch case went viral in Whatsup and Facebook recently.
District police chief ACP Fadil bin Hj Marsus said the police had received two snatch cases that occurred in front of Sthamin building and SMK Holy Trinity here a few days ago.
Fadil said the police had brought the suspects to an unumbered house at Kg Tinagat, Batu Payung here and seized a Toyota Lite Ace van believed to have been to commit the crime of snatching. The police also seized a handphone that belongs to the victim.
The two suspects were remanded yesterday for investigation under Section 379 of the Penal Code and the police described the two snatch cases as solved.
