RVS holds off White Sharks to top 159 Trios League

KUCHING: All participating teams in the Megalanes Adventure World (MAW) 159 & Below Trios League ended their campaign with the Position Round matches being played at MAW, King’s Centre last Sunday.

RVS emerged as the champion after accumulating 347.05 Peterson points while White Sharks made a late surge to finish second after amassing 311.32 points.

White Sharks also won further honours by taking the Team High Game (Handicap) and Team High Series (Handicap) awards with their scores of 582 and 2077 pins respectively.

Bruce Bilton of White Sharks also grabbed the Individual High Game & High Series (Handicap) prizes with his efforts of 298 pins and 859 pins in the eighth week.

Petra Bowlers took third spot after collecting a total of 306.08 points.

The special Best Ladies Award went to Rosnita Endeng who registered her total of 690 pins during the sixth week of the league.

The Mini-Masters for this league will be held the following Sunday with the new league season due to start on Oct 15.

Meanwhile, Boleh La maintained a slim lead in the Megalanes Sarawak 189 & Below Tay Motors Trios League last Sunday after defeating Dynamic-X with 13.5-6.5. They are also leading the Team High Series (Handicap) award with 2,436 pins.

Lucky is in pursuit of Boleh La with a 14-6 victory over Tidal Bore. They are also leading the Team High Game (Handicap) award.

Tay Motors recorded the biggest win of the week when they defeated previous league leaders Frenz 16-4.

The new leader for the Individual High Series (Handicap) award is Yean Chia Ming of Triple-X who recorded a total of 877 pins in Week 6.
