MIRI: Riam Road Secondary School (RRSS) and Pei Min Middle School have received 2,100 coupons to sell to the public the Charity Car Wash organised by KTS Group of Companies (KTS) and Stihl.
The coupons, priced at RM30 each, are part of the 15,000 coupons to raise funds for 23 Chinese independent schools in Sabah and Sarawak.
KTS Trading Sdn Bhd Miri manager Stephen Chiew Ching Nguong said the fundraiser is part of the group’s corporate social responsibility and to mark the 50th anniversary of KTS’ collaboration with Stihl.
It will be held in Kuching, Sibu, Bintulu, Miri, Kota Kinabalu, Sandakan, and Tawau from January to March next year.
For Miri, the Charity Car Wash will be held at Coco Cabana on Feb 3-4 (7am to 4pm) with students and teachers from both schools joining the car wash.

In a recent statement, KTS deputy managing director Temenggong Dato Vincent Lau said the target is to sell the 15,000 carwash coupons to raise RM450,000, whereby KTS will top up the amount on a 2-to-1 basis and give RM900,000, to raise RM1.5 million in total.
