Sandakan police chief ACP Mohd Azhar Hamin revealed that the first robbery took place at around 2.05 am at a hotel in Bandar Utama at Mile 6 Labuk Road.

The two suspects were reportedly wearing jacket, dark trousers and a helmet when they went to the hotel counter and threatened two workers with a knife and a pistol while demanding for money.

The frightened worker collected all the money from the counter, totaling RM454, and gave it to the suspects who then fled on a motorcycle.

“All the four victims were not harmed during the incidents. Further investigations are being carried out and I urge the public with information of the case to come forward to assist the police in the investigation and to locate the suspects,” Azhar said.
