KUALA LUMPUR: Samsung Malaysia Electronics will be offering the Samsung Galaxy Note Fan Edition (Samsung Galaxy Note FE) in Malaysia soon.
Designed to deliver all key Galaxy Note features, the new model is made especially for the dedicated Note community, while the new device has been engineered with unused components from the Galaxy Note7.
“The Galaxy Note FE is Samsung’s way of showing its commitment to Note fans. We work very closely with dedicated specialists to reuse and recycle unused components from the Note7 to form the Galaxy Note FE.

The Galaxy Note FE is for you,” said Samsung Malaysia Electronics IT and Mobile Business head KM Liew in a press statement.
The Galaxy Note FE, sporting an affordable price tag, is an entirely new device that inherits the design and innovative functions and offers the same productivity and entertainment features of the Note7.
This includes an enhanced S Pen that boasts a pen tip of 0.7mm, mimicking a real pen to offer users a smoother writing experience. The S Pen is also useful in translating foreign languages online, and a hover-over function to translate words directly into the desired language.
Galaxy Note FE users can unlock their smartphone using biometric authentication technologies such as iris and fingerprint recognition, allowing for a more secure login.
In addition to that, the Galaxy Note FE comes equipped with ‘Bixby Home’ and ‘Bixby Reminder’ to assist users in daily tasks and elevate the smartphone experience. With an IP68 rating, the Note FE’s body and S Pen are dust and water resistant to a maximum depth of five feet for up to 30 minutes.
Compared with the Note7, the Galaxy Note FE has an upgraded processor which makes it capable in handling heavier computational lifting; and a new and safe 3,200mAh battery which is compliant with Samsung’s 8 point safety check.
The device has also met the safety standards of the relevant industry and regulatory bodies and has been reviewed by leading independent quality assurance experts to give Note users the extra peace of mind.
The key aesthetic features that set the Galaxy Note FE apart are its symmetrical edge design and its ‘Fan Edition’ logo on the back.
Samsung Galaxy Note FE will be available from October 25, 2017 onwards at all Samsung Experience Stores, authorised dealers and selected channel partners, retailing at the price of RM2,599 inclusive of GST.
