Hope Place comes to the aid of Kampung Boyan fire victims

KUCHING: Hope Place has recently delivered relief items to fire victims in Kampung Boyan, Petra Jaya.

Rice, cooking oil, salt, sugar, biscuit, noodle, Milo, used cloth and mattress were handed over to Ketua Kampung Abdul Hamid .

According to Abdul Hamid, the fire which started around 2am last Thur destroyed three houses and left 11 victims homeless. No injuries were reported.

Hope Place is an NGO which visit the poor and less fortunate to contribute essential food items like rice, cooking oil, sugar, salt, biscuits, and noodles.

Families and individuals who barely earn enough to get through the month are grateful for the delivery of these basic necessities.

For families with children with special needs or with elderly or disabled folks, Hope Place provide milk powder, oat and diapers as well. The NGO carries out their aid deliveries once every two months because of the many families on their recipients list.

Currently they support more than 170 families.
