Jofri’s family home which was destroyed in the fire at about 1am today.
MIRI: An early morning fire today destroyed a double-storey house belonging to the chairman of Parti Islam Se-Malaysia (PAS) Miri Jofri Jaraiee in Kampung Luak Bay 1 here.
Jofri and his elderly father suffered burns from the fire, which broke out at about 1am.
A total of 16 firefighters from both Miri and Lopeng Fire and Rescue stations were dispatched to the scene after receiving the distress call at 1am.
Both injured victims are now being treated at Miri Hospital.
