KUCHING: The Football Association of Sarawak (FAS) is sticking to their decision to use 100 per cent local players in the Premier League next season for now.

In s statement here yesterday, FAS said the decision, however, was not final.

“For the early part of the season, Sarawak will use existing local players or those selected from the President’s Cup and Youth teams, or players who do well in the Sarawak Cup 2017, which will be held from Nov 4 until Nov 12 in Mukah.

“If they are up to the mark, there will be no need to bring in import players, however, if there is a need, import players will be considered during the transfer window,” the statement said.
