Banjarmasin Won the best embarkation

BANJARMASIN, S Kalimantan: Banjarmasin Embarkation together with Jakarta and Central Java received the award as the best embarkation in serving the Haj pilgrimage in 2017, Antaranews reported.

Head of South Kalimantan Office of Religious Affairs Ministry (Kemenag) H Noor Fahmi here on Thursday said the award was handed over by Minister of Religious Affairs Lukman Hakim Syaifuddin to himself during the 2017 Hajj Evaluation National Meeting in Jakarta, Wednesday (8/11).

According to him, the award is a pride for Banjarmasin Embarkation, especially his office, considering from 13 embarkations in Indonesia only three received the award as the best embarkation.

“This award is the result of the cooperation of the resident of South Kalimantan Office of Ministry of Religious Affairs in succeeding the implementation of Haj pilgrimage,” he said.

He hoped that the award could motivate the residents of South Kalimantan office Ministry of Religious Affairs to improve service to the community, especially in the implementation of the Haj pilgrimage.

“Hajj as a perfect to the pillars of Islam is a special worship and a success in its implementation is also a special thing,” he said.

According to Noor Fahmi, the Minister of Religious Affairs gave five special notes that became an evaluation in the implementation of the Haj pilgrimage. Among are the pilgrims who died before departing, the arrangement of pilgrims who arrive at the airport of Madinah, tent pilgrims in Mina are relatively sqeezed, catering, and transportation.
