KUCHING: A Sessions Court judge here yesterday warned four armed gang robbery accused not to attempt to contact their victim.

Muhmmad Bazil Eduwin, Amran Shamat, Zahar Sharkawi, and Hasrul Nizam Roslan had asked Judge Dayang Ellyn Narisa Abang Ahmad if they could meet with and apologise to their 20-year-old victim.

“You must not communicate with him by any means.

“Don’t make and attempt to call or message him, and also don’t be near to him, what more to say to apologise to him.

“Failing to adhere with the condition, your bail will be revoked,” she warned.

All four had pleaded not guilty to committing the offence in front of the Baitulmakmur Building in Petra Jaya here on Nov 5 around 6.30pm.

They allegedly stole two silver necklaces and two helmets from the victim and were armed with a folding knife.

The four accused have been charged under Section 395 of the Penal Code, read together with Section 397 of the same Code, which provides for up to 20 years in prison and caning.

They were each released on RM5,000 cash bail in two sureties pending further mention of the case on Nov 28.

DPP Haresh Prakash prosecuted.
