KUCHING: The Sessions Court here yesterday sentenced three men to 13 years in jail and three strokes of the rotan each for committing robbery.
Judge Dayang Ellyn Narisa Abang Ahmad found Rahmat Mahidi, 37, and brothers Zulkifli Morni, 34, and Mohd Sailfulfikri Morni, 29, guilty under Section 395/397 of the Penal Code.
They robbed a 32-year-old woman of her mobile phone, gold ring, watch, MyKad, and ATM card around 10pm on Jan 22 this year at Jalan Batu Kitang here.
The men had deceived the woman by asking for directions before using a knife to rob her.
The victim was left traumatised by the incident.
