SINGAPORE: Five of the six Malaysians who were injured in the MRT train collision incident were discharged from hospitals on Wednesday itself, according to the High Commission of Malaysia in Singapore.

“One, however, is still at the National University Hospital. That’s the only information given to us so far by the authorities here,” a spokesperson of the High Commission told Bernama when contacted yesterday.

The Malaysian Foreign Ministry (Wisma Putra) said that six Malaysians were injured in the train accident.

“The High Commission of Malaysia in Singapore is working closely with the local authorities to monitor and obtain further updates on the incident,” it said in a statement issued in Putrajaya. — Bernama
