KUCHING: Kuching North City Comission (DBKU) collaborated with the Malaysian Institute of Planners (MIP) to hold ‘Pledge And Plant A Tree Programme’ at Demak / Bako roundabout (facing Medan Hamidah) yesterday.

According to a press release by DBKU, the programme organised in conjunction with the World Town Planning Day 2017, aimed to encourage the planting of trees to provide greenery for the comfort and well-being of the community, as well as help to reduce air pollution.

The programme also raised public awareness on the importance of appreciating the environment.

DBKU hopes that Kuching residents will continue to work together with them and support the commission in delivering the best service for the development of the city.
