Police reveals syabu-syabu shipment from Pontianak

BANJARMASIN, South Kalimantan: The South Kalimantan Police Directorate of Drugs Investigation (Ditresnarkoba) has revealed the shipment package syabu-syabu of Pontianak, West Kalimantan, origin, Antaranews reported.

“We busted the perpetrator when taking delivery package at JNE office, Jalan Gatot Subroto, East Banjarmasin,” said Director of Drug Investigation Police Sr Comr Muhammad Firman through Head of Subdit III Adj Sr Comr (AKBP) Matsari HS SH in Banjarmasin on Thursday.

R alias I (25) was busted on Wednesday (22/11) morning around 09.30 am. The evidence found by officers was syabu-syabu as many as four packages with a weight of 3.17 grams.

Matsari revealed, previously the police get information that there was a suspected delivery of narcotics from Pontianak through a delivery service.

Members of the special team together with Subdit III Ditresnarkoba followed up investigations around the scene with observation and supervision.

A man carrying a package just taken from JNE’s office looked suspicious. The officers immediately secured him.

“When we opened the package it turned out to contain four packages of syabu-syabu packed in a bundle of paper in the packet or box,” said Matsari.

On the evidence, the citizens of North Banjarmasin is subject to Article 114 (1) sub 112 (1) Law No. 35 of 2009 on Narcotics.
