India’s celebrity chef learns local dishes

KOTA KINABALU: Sabah recently hosted India’s celebrity chef, Sushil Dwarkanath for a week-long course to explore local food and ingredients while promoting Indian dishes through live cooking on social media.

Accompanying him were six Indian bloggers covering TRAVEL and LIFESTYLE from Bangalore, Mumbai, Chennai and New Delhi.

The experience was brought together by Sabah Tourism Board, Travel Earth India and Malindo Air and supported by Sutera Harbour Resort, Sabah Tea Garden, Shangri-La’s Rasa Ria Resort, Sutera Sanctuary Lodges and Borneo Trails.

The chefs’ actions and blog entries will be available soon in Travel Earth website travel.earth.

India, the second most populous country in the world, holds a huge potential to be next big wave in travel.

This is part of Sabah Tourism Board’s effort to penetrate into the Indian travel market.
