S Kalimantan ready to apply non-cash transaction

BANJARMASIN, South Kalimantan: The South Kalimantan Government support the non-cash banking transaction program policy set forth in the Minister of Home Affairs Circular Number 910/1866/SJ dated April 17, 2017, Antaranews reported.

South Kalimantan Secretary Abdul Haris in Banjarmasin on Thursday said the provincial government has issued a governor letter of instruction to working units head (SKPD) to immediately conduct non-cash transactions in their respective working area.

Regarding the implementation, the governor in his letter of instruction suggests non-cash transactions to be applied gradually.

The goal, he added, is to improve the work culture for better accommodated local financial management.

Previously, the provincial government has signed a cooperation with the Bank Kalsel to implement the program.

“We ask all local revenue and expenditure transactions undertaken by the treasurer of receipts and expenditures and treasurers of receipts and helper expenditures shall be conducted non-cash no later than 1 January 2018,” he said.
