The suspect is led to Miri Central Police Station after he was handed over by the Pujut RC team.

MIRI: A man in his 20s was handed over to police after his suspicious presence at a residential area saw residents contacting their neighbourhood watch team.

The incident took place about 11.45am on Sunday when residents spotted two men parking their motorcycle at Pujut 4C and roaming around the area.

Worried the pair was up to no good, the residents contacted the Pujut Resident Committee (RC) patrol team, whose members rushed to the scene and caught up with the two men at Pujut 5C.

One of the men, however, fled the scene on foot while being questioned by the RC team while the other was handed over to the police for further action along with the motorcycle used by the pair.

It is learned that a woman in her 20s, who showed up at the police station later in the day claiming the seized motorcycle belonged to her, was also detained for questioning.
