Sava chief hopes for breakthrough at U14 volleyball championship

SIBU: President of Sarawak Volleyball Association (Sava)  Temenggong Datuk Vincent Lau Lee Ming is hoping Sarawak would achieve a breakthrough in the 17th National Milo U-14 Volleyball Championship in Johor from Dec 1 to 5.

“Last year, we returned with two silver medals and hopefully, this year, we can edge a step ahead to produce a new breakthrough,” he added when handing over the flags to the team on Wednesday night.

He also believed that Sarawak would shine in the tournament based on their good track record.

He reminded the players to fight hard and play with never-say-die attitude.

Sarawak took on hosts Johor in their first Group B match yesterday.

Others in Group B are Negeri Sembilan, Perak, Pahang, Selangor, Kelantan, Kuala Lumpur and Terengganu.

The girls are pitted with Kelantan, Negeri Sembilan, Selangor, Johor, Pahang and Perlis.
