MIRI: A man was arrested on Thursday on suspicion for possession of a firearm without a permit.
The arrest of the suspect in his 30s was made at an empty garden house in Kampung Kepayan, Tiris, Bekenu about 4.40pm.
According to a source, during a raid on the house, police found three guns and five live bullets.
Consequently, all firearms, including ammunition were seized as material evidence in the case.
Also confiscated were a four-wheel drive (4WD) and two units of mattresses.
Following the arrest, the suspect was taken to Miri Central Police Station for further investigation.
