OKU pupil among SK St Joseph’s excellent students

KUCHING: A child with special needs (OKU) was among the pupils of SK St Joseph who received honours at the school’s Academic Excellence Awards 2017 recently.

Headmaster Richard Kawi officiated at the ceremony, which kicked off with a medley of singing and dancing performances by the Primary 6 pupils.

Ng Shun Li, the OKU pupil from Class 3 Arsenal received his awards and prizes for excelling in the core subjects of Science and Mandarin Language.

Arif Azizi Jiwari from Class 6 Arsenal was named ‘Exemplary Pupil 2017’ for his outstanding command in both academics and co-curricular activities.

“The school also celebrates the achievements of pupils in the fields of co-curriculum and awards, as shown by our ‘Best Sports Pupil Award’.

“This is our annual event that is primarily meant to motivate these children to always strive for excellence,” said Richard.
